Help Thai elephants AND rescued wildlife with our combined volunteer programme

Volunteer in Thailand

Are you struggling to choose between volunteering with Globalteer’s Thailand Elephant Programme and our Thailand Wildlife Sanctuary? Can’t decide whether to devote your time to the amazing and majestic Thai elephants or the gibbons, bears and macaques at the wildlife sanctuary? Well now you don’t have to make that difficult decision! We are delighted to provide combined elephant and wildlife placements in Thailand. Volunteer in Thailand with Globalteer and experience two amazing projects in one!

Project location and facilities

The two projects are located on the same site surrounded by dense forest about 3 hours south of Bangkok. They are close to important national parks and less than an hour from the beaches at Cha Am and Hua Hin. All great places to head on your days off.

The two projects share communal facilities such as bar and socialising areas. All cooking and dining facilities, toilet and shower blocks are shared between the two projects. So when you switch from one project to another you don’t have to leave your newly-made friends behind. Furthermore, when you move to your new project you will already know lots of people you will be working with!

Two volunteer placements in one

Selecting a combined placement means that you will spend a fixed number of weeks working with fellow volunteers and local staff on each project. This allows you to really get your teeth into your duties rather than constantly switching from one to the other. And by applying for a combined placement it costs you a lot less than applying for the two projects individually.

For full details of volunteer duties at each of the two projects and the cost for the combined placements, please visit the Thailand Elephant Sanctuary and Thailand Wildlife Sanctuary pages of the Globalteer website.

How to apply

If you would like to apply for a combined placement please make sure you fill in the Thailand Sanctuaries Combined Application form. If you have any questions you about the combined placements, please e-mail volunteer@globalteer.org
