Volunteer with children in Peru

Volunteer with Community projects abroad the responsible way! Globalteer supports sustainable community projects in South East Asia & Latin America. Why not join us and volunteer to help Children & Communities work towards a better future?

Support Communities by Volunteering with Community Projects Abroad!

Volunteer with children at Community Schools, teaching English, Arts, Sports and Games. Also at amazing projects providing Clean Water to villages or volunteer at a Farm producing nutritious food for communities in need. Volunteers can also work at an Indigenous Community project or work to Empower Woman. Whether you wish to volunteer as an English teacher to help children learn English or help provide rural communities access to better ways of life, we have something for everyone.

Globalteer's programs are in Asia and Latin America: in developed cities, jungle trading villages, small tourist towns and even in ancient capitals!

Check out the information pages below to find out more about each of these remarkable projects. From working with children in the wonderful cities of Medellin, Colombia or Cusco, Peru; to building water filters in Siem Reap, Cambodia, we have community volunteering opportunities to suit everyone’s interests! And if you cannot decide between our many options within Cambodia, check out our Cambodia Combination Placements!

Volunteer with Children in Cambodia

Lets Get Started on Your Journey Volunteering Abroad with Children & Communities!

Cambodia Community Project

The Cambodia Community Project works with responsible education focused projects; including Globalteer's own rural school which gives free education to almost 300 children and young people. Projects focus on education, health, hygiene and nutrition as well as addressing the most pressing needs of the communities.

Peru Community Project

The Peru Community Project is an inspirational after-school project for 80 children near Cusco. The project gives free classes and homework help to under-privileged children. It also provides a safe place to play, to learn traditional music and dance, and to enjoy free fruit, clean drinking water and a nutritious lunch.

Colombia Kids Project

Volunteer with children at the Colombia Kids Project which works with government approved programs for vulnerable children. The projects provide education, shelter & food, in addition to safe haven away from the streets to children forced into desperate situations. Volunteer in the vibrant city of Medellin to help improve the lives of children.

Cambodia Sports Project

The Cambodia Sports Project delivers sporting programmes to disadvantaged kids who would normally have access to them. The programmes help kids grow and develop through sports by teaching them essential skills such as teamwork, fair play & leadership!

Cambodia Food & Farming

The Cambodia Food and Farming Project works with carefully selected partner projects on their innovative sustainable food programmes. In addition to providing food for impoverished families, these exciting projects are also teaching valuable and practical life skills as well as being a means of generating income.

Cambodia Clean Water Project

The Clean Water Project tackles some of the deadliest problems of poverty by addressing a root cause - lack of clean drinking water. By giving communties access to clean, disease-free drinking water the risks of illness, which prevent income earners from working and children from going to school are significantly reduced.

Woman's Empowerment Project

The Women's Empowerment Project grew out of a ‘sustainable families' forum', led by the students for their parents. They came up with a plan that would provide the students’ mothers – women who had never had a fair chance in life - to know what it was like to have a steady job that was neither degrading or dangerous.

Cambodia Indigenous People Project

This Cambodia Indigenous Project aims to help the Bunong people of Cambodia protect and preserve their culture and traditional ways of life that are currently under threat from modernization. Volunteers are particularly needed to help motivate the Bunong youth by showing an interest in their traditional way of life.

Cambodia Combination Placements

The Cambodia Combination Placement allows you to combine placements at two or more of our Siem Reap projects and spread the love a little further. By volunteering with multiple community projects you have the opportunity to experience and understand even more of Cambodia’s fascinating culture! Work at teaching projects, a farm, a clean water project or to empower woman.
