Alternative, Meaningful Internships Abroad

Spending time abroad as part of your university degree doesn’t have to mean struggling through a lecture in a foreign language or working in a bar in Europe. Globalteer can offer you an alternative, more meaningful way to spend your time abroad in South America or South East Asia. Whether you’re looking to perfect your Spanish language skills or gain valuable experience with an international development internship; Globalteer can provide you with time in the field with an overseas NGO internship or free volunteering opportunity.

Join our Globalteer UK Charity Team in Peru or Cambodia

By spending time living and working abroad you will be immersing yourself into a culture vastly different from your life back home. Working with the team in either Cambodia or Peru, you’ll be part of the staff and given the opportunity to participate in some exciting grassroots programmes and to be part of diverse cultures and locations, steeped in history. Depending on your needs and ours, Globalteer will give you a unique opportunity to gain insight into a small, forward-looking British Charity whose work has proven benefits at local levels.

Living and working in a developing country for an extended period is a rewarding and valuable experience. By taking on an internship abroad you will gain invaluable practical experience that will help prepare you for your career. Many employers in the International Development sector value the time you will have spent in the field as part of a Charity internship. And let’s face it, spending your time abroad in Peru or Cambodia will provide you with a wealth of stories to take back home with you. As well as valuable professional experience gained from your international internship programme!

Globalteer International Internships come with Benefits!

The best part? We value our interns and that means we provide benefits! Although we charge a small administration fee of GBP£80 / USD$100 to cover your on boarding costs, we provide free accommodation and food. We also provide an unforgettable experience! You will be the envy of your friends and fellow classmates!

Depending upon your skills and interests, we have a variety of opportunities. Interns are based at our Peru or Cambodia offices from 1 to 7 months. So whether you are just looking for a summer internship abroad or a longer international internship programme as part of a study abroad programme or gap year; we can tailor a time frame to fit your needs.
