The aims of the Picaflor House Children’s Project are:
To provide children in Oropesa with a safe and fun environment in the afternoons
To provide academic assistance to the children through classes in mathematics & literacy
To provide homework assistance for children whose parents are unable to assist
To teach children new skills such as music, dance, arts, sports and computing
To provide a healthy snack and lunch to support the children's nutritional needs
To provide free or affordable local childcare for working families
To educate children about basic health and hygiene practices
To work with the local community to identify their needs and help them to become stakeholders in proposed solutions
