General Internship in Cambodia

Globalteer is an international charity working with communities in developing countries in the areas of child care, education, sports and social services and with conservation and animal rescue projects.

What will you get out of your internship?
Working with Globalteer, you will be helping support many charitable projects around the world making a real difference for children, communities, and animals.
Staff, volunteers and interns all love this unique location. Siem Reap is a small town but has everything to offer, as it is the tourists gateway to the amazing Temples of Angkor.
You will gain valuable life skills as well as workplace skills, guided by our experienced international team.

What we need from you:
There are a few basics we require for this internship.
Requirements:
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Numerate, well organised and with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality
• Flexible team player with the energy and enthusiasm required to work in the charity sector
• A commitment to Globalteer’s Code of Conduct and Child Protection Policy
• Minimum age of 18 years old
• Team player but also comfortable working independently
Key duties and responsibilities:
• Producing regular, high-quality photos, videos, or vlog content for Globalteer’s website and social media
• Writing blogs for our website
• Working with our teaching or sports teams
• Supporting volunteers working at the projects
• Monitoring and evaluation of projects
• 37.5-hour work week
• Other duties as assigned in support of Globalteer’s charitable objectives

Only short-listed candidates will be contacted for an interview. Applicants who have not heard from Globalteer after 3 weeks of submitting have not been successful in their application. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview by Skype. Successful applicants will be required to undergo a background check due to the nature of our work with children.
Internship FAQs
In Peru, most interns can arrive without a visa and get a 6 months entry stamp on arrival. This depends on your country of origin and if you have other visas, such as a USA or EU visa.
In Cambodia, Volunteers can get an 'ordinary' visa on arrival and extend once in country.
