Volunteering in Wildlife Rescue

Lets Get Started on your Journey Volunteering Abroad at Globalteer’s Most Popular Projects

Peru Community Project

The Peru Community Project is based in the magnificent ancient city of Cusco. Volunteers work at a village programme assisting the English teachers, arts classes, music & sports. The project provides vital support to 60 underprivileged children.

Thailand Elephant Sanctuary

The Thailand Elephant Sanctuary gives safe haven to rescued elephants so they can live a life as close as possible to their wild relatives. Without the sanctuary these wonderful animals would be suffering terrible conditions at working elephant camps or being exploited by the tourist industry.

Peru Wildlife Sanctuary

The Peru Wildlife Shelter is a lifeline for abused and endangered animals in the Peruvian Amazon. Many of the animals at the centre are rescued from illegal trafficking and the pet trade or abusive homes. The project treats and rehabilitates the animals and releases them back into the wild.

Peru Dog Rescue Shelter

The Peru Dog Rescue Project provides a humane and long term solution to the stray dog problem that is commonplace in Peru. The main objective of the project is to nurture the dogs back to health through receiving veterinary treatment at the hands of partner veterinarians, and receiving daily loving care and attention from volunteers.

Cambodia Community Project

The Community Project in Siem Reap works with carefully selected education focused projects. Also Globalteer's own rural school which gives free education to almost 300 children. Volunteers assist staff at the project in English classes, arts, games, sports and the breakfast programme, and support the development of these amazing kids.

Peru Amazon Conservation Project

The Peru Amazon Rainforest Project is based in an idyllic setting deep within the Amazon rainforest of Peru, Manú National Park. Volunteers work to protect the forest that still habours endangered jaguars, pumas, ocelots, tapirs, sloths, anacondas, river otters, caiman and a myriad of other species. Manú is a major biodiversity hotspot.

What are our volunteers saying about us?

If you’re considering getting involved, just do it! I guarantee you won’t regret it. I had an AMAZING experience volunteering on two different projects with Globalteer. You really get to experience life in a completely different culture, whilst making a significant difference to the projects and local communities. The Globalteer staff are all so helpful and welcoming, and the little things like being picked up from the airport and being shown around the local area made my trip so much easier, and meant I settled in straight away. If you’re considering getting involved, just do it! I guarantee you won’t regret it.
