Globalteer's Helping Hands School
Invigorating Rural Cambodian Community in Building a Sustainable
Lifestyle through Education!
At the Helping Hands School, our main vision is to ‘give a hand up’ and not a ‘hand-out’. Helping Hands school is one of our initiatives in endowing the Cambodian Community, which focuses on education to help become self-reliant and break out of poverty.
Coronavirus Update
COVID-19 has had a huge impact around the world, and we are no exception. Due to travel restrictions & bans worldwide, people are no longer travelling, which means no volunteers. This is a big loss of physical help and financial income from the volunteer donation. And given the current global climate it may be a while before we see any more volunteers.
Many of our students will be forced to seek work to help them and their families through this difficult time, and they will likely need our support more than ever. It’s imperative that we keep our garden healthy, and have lots of fruit and vegetables growing to provide the much needed nutrients that our students will require on their return to school. With such uncertainty ahead we need your support now more than ever so we can continue our work at Helping Hands and keep our staff & teachers engaged in their vital work.

Taking a holistic approach, we aim to harbour our students in the Cambodian Community with our FIVE main areas of focus:
Education
A core curriculum focusing on the knowledge and skills to succeed both professionally and personally.
Child Safety
Preparing children of Rural Cambodia for the world that exists outside of the 4 walls of the classroom and home, through our child protection project.
Sports
Empowering children with new skills to build confidence and find ways to face challenges, assert their rights and voice their opinions through our Sports Programme
Health Care and Nutrition
Providing a healthy and nutritious breakfast each morning with the fresh vegetables grown in our own onsite organic garden. Using the guidelines lines of the World Food Programme.
Social Care
Maintaining trusting relationships with our students and their families through our dedicated Social Workers.
