Helping Hands Slow Bicycle Race
Our exciting new addition to our Sports Programme!
Slow and steady wins the race… and in this case, that really is true!
As part of our on-going expansion of our Sports Programme, we will soon be holding another exciting sporting event… the Helping Hands Slow Bicycle Race!
On Friday 25th May, our student’s will be divided into 5 age categories and split into teams to compete in what is set to be the slowest race yet. The aim is to cycle as slow as possible without the feet touching the ground (or falling off) and the last person to cross the finish line wins! We will add the times together for all the participants in each team, and the teams with the overall lowest time will be crowned the winners!
Our students get plenty of practice cycling to and from school, but are not so experienced at snail pace cycling… they’re excited to put their balancing skills to the test and see which teams will come out on top!
This event will not only be a fun and welcome change from day to day lessons for our students, but we are also hoping to raise awareness of Helping Hands, and raise funds to help us improve and expand our Education Programme to incorporate more Sports, Arts and Creative classes.
We’re calling on you to give some encouragement and support to our students and make a donation today to help us grow our Programme.
