Helping Hands Clean Water Project
Imagine not being able to get a glass of water from your tap... or having to pump water from a well to fill a bucket, just so you can flush the toilet…!
That is the reality for our students and teachers every single day!
As it currently stands, our staff and students fill up buckets of water by pumping it from the well. These buckets are then carried across the school to the bathrooms. This process has to be done numerous times a day to provide enough water for drinking, washing hands and flushing toilets, washing dishes and watering our garden.
Installing a pump and water tank would not only save us a lot of time and energy, it would enable us to easily provide clean drinking water, improve health and hygiene standards, as well as improve irrigation for the garden.
$2000 is needed to enable us to install:
- a water pump
- a water tower
- plumbing for our bathrooms and kitchen
- irrigation for our garden
