Helping Hands - Temple Run 2017

On the 25^th August 2017 we will hold our very first ’Helping Hands Temple Run’ – a fun chain-run challenge in which teams of Helping Hands students will compete in a race around the beautiful Prasat Char Temple, situated in the village, in order to raise funds for our programs!

On the day, there will be a morning run for our youngest students and an afternoon run for the elder students.

Each Team will consist of 5 or 6 students from different classes, who will each run a certain distance of the race for their team. They really have to work as a team to beat the other teams and become the Helping Hands Temple Run Champions!

All students will be rewarded for their efforts with some refreshments and a small prize – and the winning teams will of course receive something extra!

We are so excited for this first ever Temple Run Fundraising challenge - which should be day full of fun & activity - with which we hope to raise many needed funds for the new school and our programmes!

Why are we doing this?

Helping Hands Cambodia provides free education, a safe haven and healthy nutritious meals to hundreds of amazing underprivileged children. This inspirational school does amazing work for children whose futures would otherwise be very bleak. Their focus is on teaching students skills which will increase chances of long-term, well-paid employment, and reduce dependency on hand-outs and aid.

Although not expensive by first world standards, running such a project has significant costs and  relies on donations and grants to cover essentials such as teachers’ salaries. By sponsoring us for this challenge you will be helping to secure the financial security of our beloved school. And there’s another incentive too…

Every donation of £15  / USD$21 / €18 will be rewarded with a free entry into a grand prize draw to win a trip to Peru or a trip to Cambodia. Donate £30 / USD$42 / €36 and you will receive two entries. Make it £45 and you will receive three entries and so on!

NB To be entered into the draw you must give your full name when you donate.

With odds like these, it could be you-hoo!

A maximum of 1,500 entries are allowed in the draw, so for every £15 that you donate you will get a one in 1,500 chance of winning the grand prize - rather better than the one in 45,000,000 chance of winning the UK National Lottery! We need to receive a minimum of 1500 donations to make the draw so please tell all your friends and family and help us hit our target as soon as possible.

Please dig deep and who knows, you could soon be off to Peru, or Cambodia!
