It supports children through holistic education. This means children receive learning support. They also get health care, nutritious food, and access to sports. For this reason, the aim is long-term change, not short-term relief.

Why Do Cambodian Children Need Support?
In rural Cambodia, many children struggle to stay in school. The World Bank reports that many rural families struggle with school fees. For example, costs include transport and uniforms.
In Siem Reap, dropout rates rise to 16–17% during the move to secondary school. Poverty, distance, and malnutrition play a key role. Because of this, many families cannot afford shadow education. This is paid tutoring that many students need to pass exams.

What Impact Has Helping Hands Had So Far?
Over the years, Helping Hands has made a positive and measurable impact. It is visible when you meet children, families, and communities in rural Siem Reap.
- Helping Hands provides for approximately 2800 children. This includes around eight rural schools.
- More than 2,000 children are enrolled in sports and wellbeing programmes annually.
