Many of the projects receive little or no governmental support and rely hugely on donations and fund raising. Volunteers are required to make a donation to assist in the continual existence of the projects. Basically, some of the projects would not last long without regular funding and assistance from volunteers. In many cases, by donating money, the volunteers also assist the projects to employ local staff to help ensure the volunteers do not replace much needed local job opportunities. Your money also covers our small administration costs, your accommodation and in country support from our project co-ordinators. Globalteer is a registered charity in the UK (registration number 1119706). As a registered charity, Globalteer is legally required to ensure that all monies received is used to promote the charitable objectives.
