Globalteer is looking for the best volunteers. We work in education, childcare and animal care. Teachers, care workers, those working with animals and students who are looking to work in these fields are not usually the highest paid. If we want these people at our projects then we cannot charge the high prices of other organisations. The countries we work in are usually very poor, we can buy food, pay local staff wages or build orphanages very cheaply when compared to the rest of the world. Globalteer is a UK registered Charity, we want to attract as many of the best volunteers to enable us to carry out our work. Many other organisations are commercial companies, interested only in making a profit by acting as "volunteer travel agencies".
